SoulAviv was formed in 2007, and in a few short years we’ve earned a reputation as "One of the most exciting new vocal groups in Jewish music" (LA Examiner, 9/16/2011). Named as one of the top 12 Jewish music groups in the world, we are equally at ease singing in English and Hebrew, and even Yiddish. Our music is infused with the sounds of Motown, gospel, Memphis soul, and a particular love for the great harmony groups of the 60′s and 70′s. Socially conscious lyrics mixed with deep spirituality, jubilant celebration, and a little California sunshine thrown in, make SoulAviv a unique musical experience we think you’re really going to like.

SoulAviv is...

Jamie Green – Vocals and percussion

Jamie is an award-winning singer-songwriter, and the Santa Barbara director of Hip Hop Kidz, an after-school dance program. She just released her third solo CD, entitled 'Chase the Rain'.

Liat Wasserman – Vocals

The granddaughter of a Rabbi on one side and a Cantor on the other, Liat, our Israeli-born soprano, literally has music in her genes. She studied voice at the Eastman School of Music in New York, and spent much of her free time, before kids, singing in a jazz-pop a’capella group.

Rob Raede – Vocals and guitar

After 20+ years in the wilderness of Wall Street, Rob went back to his first love—music. He is an accomplished guitarist, singer, and songwriter, and his songs have appeared in motion pictures and music videos, and been featured on local TV and radio.

Roxanne Morganstern– Vocals

After 16 years in Los Angeles, Roxanne has recently returned to Santa Barbara. Before joining SoulAviv she toured all over North America in a popular electronica act.
